5 Women-Led Companies That Hire Remote Workers
More and more professionals are looking for remote jobs as a result of COVID-19. In response to this demand, and to attract top talent, an increasing number of companies are relaxing their previously strict rules on working from home, and are now open to, and hiring for, fully remote positions.
There are many benefits of working from home—for both professionals and companies—so we can expect this remote work trend to continue and become even more popular in the years to come. In honor of International Women’s Month, we’ve put together a list of five women-led companies that hire remote workers.

Safra A. Catz is the CEO of Oracle and has been since 2014. The cloud technology company provides organizations around the world with “computing infrastructure and software to help them innovate, unlock efficiencies and become more effective.” They also created the world’s first autonomous database that aids in organizing and securing their customers’ data.

Phebe Novakovic has been chairman and CEO of General Dynamics since 2013. The global aerospace and defense company employs over 100,000 people in 43 countries. They build everything from “Gulfstream business jets and combat vehicles to nuclear-powered submarines and communications systems” and rely on their employees to innovate, develop, and produce safe and secure products and services.

Tricia Griffith is the President and CEO of Progressive Insurance. She’s led the insurance company since 2016, but for more than 80 years, Progressive has offered “a wide range of insurance choices to customers, including Auto, Home, Renters, Commercial Auto, Small Business, Motorcycle, Boat policies.” They are the third largest auto insurer in the country and employ over 40,000 people.

Abigail Johnson has been the CEO of Fidelity Investments since 2014 and chairman since 2016. The financial services giant provides financial guidance to millions of people and thousands of businesses. They offer many financial products including investment management, retirement planning, and portfolio guidance, and employ close to 60,000 people. Fidelity’s goal is to “make financial expertise broadly accessible and effective in helping people live the lives they want.”

Gail K. Boudreaux is the President and CEO of Anthem, Inc. The company provides health insurance and benefits to millions of members, and serves “over 79 million lives across 27 states through its broad portfolio of health insurance and services subsidiaries.” Anthem believes that “our health connects us all.”
